| Information | This course focuses on some common mistakes that we typically see when it comes to presentation and disclosures in the Annual Financial Statements. The course will cover recent amendments to IAS 1 Presentation of financial statements and will also look at the Materiality Practice Statement and the ongoing work of the IASB on the Better Communication in Financial Reporting project. In addition it will cover the requirements of IAS 1 IAS 7 IAS 10 and IFRS 8 for the preparation of financial statements.

Kirtanya Sahadeo
Kirtanya is a financial reporting specialist in the IFRS Advisory division. She is a recently qualified CA (SA) who completed her articles with Nolands Johannesburg.
Kirtanya served as an audit manager with the firm where she ran audit, SARB transfer-pricing and DTI related engagements for subsidiaries of listed entities and large non-listed entities in numerous sectors including real estate, manufacturing, FMCG, telecommunications, logistics and freight forwarding, and retail to name a few.
Since joining the firm, Kirtanya has assisted clients in listed and public entities, and SMEs in a variety of sectors ranging from mining to energy and chemicals, telecommunications, real estate, logistics and more. Her areas of expertise include IFRS and IFRS for SMEs and her extensive knowledge has enabled her to contribute to formulating technical opinions, reviewing financial statements and providing technical consulting services to clients across multiple industries.
