Information In response to high-profile corporate frauds and public pressure the IAASB has significantly revised ISA 240 to bolster auditors’ responsibilities regarding fraud. The changes aim to “deliver more decision-useful information” and restore trust by ensuring auditors maintain a questioning mindset and thoroughly challenge management when fraud risk is present. As this revised standard becomes effective for periods beginning on or after December 15 2026 iaasb.org auditors need to be trained on the new requirements ahead of implementation.
